The Company. Kallax Flyg AB was founded in 1998 by two brothers, Sven and Folke Stenvall and their sister Anna Flink. The company is totally owned by and is a subsidiary of Stenvalls Trä AB. In 2003, it was announced that Stenvalls Trä has been the most profitable sawmill in the country for the last five years. The company is AAA rated.

In 2004, the company acquired Helimek AB Helimek AB an air maintenance company supplying professional plane & helicopter maintenance in accordance with JAR-145 (air maintenance licence).
During the same year Kallax Flyg AB acquired Polar Helikopter in Kiruna i Kiruna AB.
