Keenair is the longest established maintenance company based at Liverpool Airport. The Keenair name can be traced back as far as the 1960's. It was the last aviation company to operate from the older 1930's aerodrome and the first to build a hangar and maintenance facility on the new business and general aviation complex at the now re-named Liverpool John Lennon Airport. The facility is open seven days a week and, with the airport being open 24 hours a day with category two approval, this gives the customer an excellent all year found flying capability. The hangar is just 120m from the entrance to the taxyway which is close to the threshold of the 27 ILS runway.Aircraft handling is also given to customers when the occasion arises.
