Air Taxi, Heliski, Sightseeing, Aerial Work, Film/Foto, Air rescue. Helicoptere Service was founded in April 1998 in Sion and started operation with a used AS 315B LAMA soon to be joined by a brand new Bell 407. Both helicopters were used for aerial work as well as passenger transport.
A small staff of 4 persons (1 pilot, 1 mechanic and 2 marschallers). had its office in small barracks at the airport. Construction of a large facility consisting of corporate headquarters, VIP lounge, crew lounge as well as of 2 hangars for airplanes and helicopters started in 1999.
By the end of December 2000, the facility was completed and Helicoptere Service personnel was able to move into a modern, spacious and comfortable infrastructure.
In the winter of 1999, an Alouette III helicopter was acquired to start a rescue operation in the Swiss Alps. This helicopter was sold in 2001 to a Spanish operator for fire fighting missions.
In October 2001 Helicoptere Service took delivery of a new Eurocopter AS 350B3 to complete it’s fleet.
Today, Helicoptere Service counts 15 employees and 3 helicopters.
